London 2012 Gallery

I have just uploaded a new gallery containing my shots from the glorious summer that was London 2012.

The shots cover scenes from around London before and during the games and a few events that I managed to get tickets for:

• Badminton
• Mountain Biking
• Paralympics Opening Ceremony
• Wheelchair Rugby Final

 It truly was a fantastic time to be a Londoner and every venue was sold out as the British reveled in a summer of sport.  I know in some countries The Paralympics did not receive very much coverage at all, but here they were treated with as much reverence as The Olympics with sold out crowds on every day of competition.

The city was decorated with flags and bunting plus pieces of public art appeared all around the city celebrating the games.

Finally I have included some shots from The Team GB victory parade where our athletes were honoured for their stunning performance.  For me, one of the joys of the entire period was seeing a young lad in a wheelchair holding up his two medals and being cheered by 100s of thousands of people,  maybe sport can change attitudes.

2010 Portfolio Updated

It's not been a great winter for me so far, when the weather has been great for photography I have been unwell and when I have been well the light has been as flat as a pancake.  So instead its time to get round to doing all those admin jobs that are real easy to put off when something more interesting comes up like keywording, cataloguing and updating my web galleries.

The 2010 Gallery includes images from across England and I hope you find something there you enjoy looking at.

2009 Portfolio Updated

It's been a real busy start to the the year and things seem to be showing no sign of slowing down any-time soon. It's only taken till the beginning of March to get round to completing last years gallery.

The delay was mainly because I have been experiencing the joys of getting Lightroom to generate my galleries for me. When I get a moment I will produce some blogs explaining what I have learnt for anyone else brave enough to delve into the Lightroom SDK.

The 2009 Gallery includes images from across England and I hope you find something there you enjoy looking at.

Painters With Light Exhibition opens in Loughton

Sorry for not updating the blog for a few weeks. It has been a hellishly busy few weeks with tearing one exhibition down & delivering all the pictures sold and then preparing another new exhibition.

This exhibition "Landscape" features work from The Painting With Light Society with guest photographer Kevin Goodchild. It is an exhibition of Landscape images from across the British Isles and beyond. The exhibition runs until Christmas Eve and even if I say so myself it is well worth a visit:
